What services does Greystanes Disability Services provide?

We offer Supported Independent Living, Community Participation, Centre Based Day Programs, Community Access and Home Support Services based on a Person-Centred Active Support Framework.

What is Supported Independent Living (SIL)?

Supported Independent Living is a safe and supportive home environment. Support is tailored to individual needs and goals. There are opportunities for social engagement with housemates. Using the Person-Centred Active Support framework Greystanes support people with graded assistance in their daily living tasks to promote independence, choice and control.

Where are your services located?

Our head office and community centre are located in Leura in the beautiful Blue Mountains NSW. We have community homes in Katoomba, Wentworth Falls, Woodford and Jamisontown. We offer Home Support Services throughout the Blue Mountains.

Who is eligible to access your services?

Our services are designed for people with all types of disabilities. We specialise in intellectual disabilities with high health needs. Eligibility may depend on individual needs, support requirements, available spaces and NDIS funding.

Do you accept NDIS funding?

Yes, we are a registered NDIS provider and can work with you to navigate your plan and support needs.

What NDIS High Intensity Supports do Greystanes provide?
Greystanes support staff are trained in Complex Bowel Care management, Epilepsy and Seizure management, Mealtime management including Enteral Feed, Medication management, Suctioning, Urinary Catheter Support, and Oxygen management. 
How do I get started or make a referral?

Can I visit Greystanes Disability Services Community Centre or one of your homes in the community?

How to find us?

How to get to Greystanes Disability Services

  • By Car: Take the Great Western Highway towards Leura. If coming from Sydney, turn left at Leura Mall, left onto Railway Parade, then right onto Grose Street. The destination is a short drive from the main shops.

  • By Train: Catch a Blue Mountains Line train to Leura Station. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk—head down Leura Mall, left onto Railway Parade, then turn right onto Grose Street.

  • By Bus: Local Blue Mountains buses stop near Leura Mall. From the main shopping area, it’s a short walk down Railway Parade and then right onto Grose Street.
